Happy Monday and welcome to … My Book Haul!
Is it just me, or did the word “haul” echo for you too? No? Ok then.
I am going to be sharing with you all the books that I have borrowed, purchased or downloaded from late December till now. I am so excited – not only to share you with all what I have added to my ever-growing bookshelf – both physically and virtually. But to showcase the books, I’m excited to begin reading! A few will be books that you’ve heard of and are currently circulating, and others you may not. I have always been a fan of reading book hauls! I love looking to see if there’s anything I am reading, would like or have read. And of course, to comment my thoughts. I am a sucker for a good story. If you know me personally, and even now virtually, I tend to get pretty excited when I read something new.
Especially when I think everyone should read it too.
Let’s start with my e-books since there’s quite a bit more on this list. I will ask that if you have a series that you’re currently reading and liking, let me know! There’s nothing like a great series, especially as you become attached to the characters. It’s almost as though they are your friends and you can’t help but get lost in their journey and their thoughts. You know what I mean?
The FREE e-books …
Out of the Mist – Thriller, romance, and a series … ummm … yes, please! On top of all of that, this book is free here for Nook, and here for Kindle.
When Girlfriends … series – I wasn’t kidding when I said I am a girl that loves her a good series. I didn’t realize that I had downloaded book four – *ahem … for free* A light read for the spring I’m thinking. Book four is free, here for nook, and here for Kindle. Bonus … the first three books can be bought as a collection for $0.99!! Here for Nook and here for Kindle. With excellent reviews on Goodreads … worth it.
Elsker – I know, I know – you’ve seen this one pop us before here, but, in my defense, it’s a free e-book. Which you can find here for Nook, and here for Kindle. And … it’s a series! Am I the only one that prefers a series over a stand-alone? Three words: Young Adult Fantasy – yeah, I’m all in.
The solo kindle read …
Indigo Lost – I started reading this book a few days ago, and I’m preparing for tears. I don’t want to say too much because I’m not far enough in this book to give a proper overview – but I can say that I’m excited about it! Indigo Lost is the first book in a series of what will be eight books! You can follow the author on Twitter, here. You can find your copy here on Kindle. Let me know if you purchase the book! I would love to discuss, what I can already tell, is a super powerful text.
The book I borrowed but may end up buying …
City of Bones – I am over half-way through this book and am loving it. The fantasy, the small plot twists, the character development … Jace. I’m excited, and I relish the delight of beginning this series because I’ve heard nothing but great things. Have you ever read a series and loved it so much, that you wish you could go back in time to reread it? Would you say that this is that series for you?
The book I bought …
A Wrinkle in Time – I have meant to get my hands on this book for some time, and then the moment presented itself. However, I am not allowed to read this book until I finish The Husband’s Secret. Punishment or encouragement? I’ll let you know. But I’m currently leaning towards punishment. Both Amazon and Barnes and Noble are selling the paperback online for $4.99 – Grab your copy now!
Last but not least – the preorder I can’t wait for …
A Thousand Perfect Notes – I pre-ordered this book about a week ago and we currently have approximately 135 days left until the book itself is ready to ship! I have read a few reviews, all stating how amazing the plot is – but honestly, I’m just ready to read this book myself. Given that I have a little over two months, maybe two and a half depending on shipping, I am challenging myself to finish at least three out of the six books I have listed here before received my copy of this book. I say that’s a fair trade, don’t you?
I am beyond excited about all of my fantastic finds! I cannot wait to share my thoughts with you as I read through each one. If you have read any of the books above, please let me know what you thought! What books have you purchased or downloaded recently that you can’t wait to begin?
Enjoy your week!
